The only thing I caution is that some of it gets complicated and my son was sad when he could not defeat the dragon. We got our money's worth there because they both played for hours on just one "game" each. The kids liked the bowling alley and of course the arcade. The mining experience was really fun, but follow the advice and don't dump the whole bag of dirt in at once. Since we knew what to expect (read the website ahead of time) we had prepared our kids with a budget and choices. Other entertainment: The Adventure Park was fun but a bit overpriced. I do think they could shut off about half of the sprinkling/dumping/dripping water in the place and still have the same fun. And, yes, there is no "still water" or hot tub for adults to just relax. We also saw a real rescue and they got to the struggling child immediately (and later found the parent). There are lifeguards everywhere and we saw them training. Otherwise my kids loved the wave pool and tamer slides and we spent more time in the waterpark than I had anticipated. And definitely bring flip flops for trips to the restrooms! The restrooms are not bad, but other people are tracking in and out and the floor looks it. My advice is to bring warm robes or cover-ups for all family members. Waterpark: Yes, they could raise the air temp a few degrees. At all restaurants, the service was good with some servers clearly having more experience than others. Definitely ask about the breakfast package when you book. The coffee was very good, though, and the fresh fruit was wonderful. There were many choices, but food does dry out under heat lamps. The breakfast wasn't as horrible as others describe. The Barnwood happy hour was a good value. When the hotel is so empty, Loose Moose doesn't serve dinner. Restaurants: We had breakfast at the Loose Moose buffet and all dinners at Barnwood during happy hour. They also shut it off during the night hours. The only thing is that the bathroom air vent was louder on this floor. We were on floor 10 (the top) which was quiet. So, future guests shouldn't have to worry about those floors anymore. Floors of the lodge: When we were there in early May, we were told Magiquest was being moved to the lobby area since it has caused problems being near the guest rooms on floors 3-5. Knowing this, I will bring some plastic organizers when we go back so I can better organize our clothing. One odd thing is that there was no dresser with drawers, nor did the nightstands have drawers. Otherwise the rooms are new and nicely kept and the bathroom is spacious. Also, my kids aren't used to that and the beds are more narrow than a twin and we could hear them bumping knees and heads into the wall during the night. It was cool but I'm not sure we would pay the premium for it again. The room is no bigger, it's just that one of the queen beds is replaced by a colorfully painted alcove that has bunk beds. Rooms: We paid for the Wolf Pup Den that has the bunk beds and the kids really loved it. The clerk said she would look into it and I had a message on my phone 5 minutes later stating the issue was resolved. We were traveling under a group rate code and there was an issue with one of the fees. Check-in was smooth and we were given the wolf ears which my 5 year old daughter never took off. First, the check-in: We were able to pull up near the entrance and they offer luggage carts like the ones offered at airports (but these are free) so you can load up and head inside. They cried when it was time to leave and haven't stopped talking about going back. That said, the staff and facilities were wonderful and my children absolutely loved this place. We visited for 3 nights, Monday through Thursday, and the lodge was only at 20% capacity so I'm sure our experience with wait times was different than if we had stayed on a weekend or other peak time.
